Jail intercom project scope expanded after vendor review; funding gap to be determined

An RFP has been released for design work; funding for the RFP will come from administration special projects funds so the originally allocated intercom funding can remain in place. Staff said the full project cost and the resulting funding gap will be known after the design‑level RFP is completed and that the committee will be presented options to close any shortfall.
No final procurement award or CIP funding decision was made at this meeting. Staff characterized the agenda item as an update and said they will return with the RFP results and funding options.
