Caldwell County Schools board approves Marjorie Dula as assistant principal at Gamewell Elementary

The Caldwell County Schools Board of Education approved the appointment of Marjorie Dula as assistant principal at Gamewell Elementary School during its June 24 work session.
Superintendent Dr. Don Phipps told the board he recommended Dula, who currently serves as a student support specialist and has experience as an elementary teacher, for a two-year contract beginning July 1, 2025.
A board member moved to approve the appointment and another board member seconded; the motion passed by voice vote. Board Chair Pennell offered congratulations after the vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board had convened a closed session to discuss confidential personnel matters under North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(1); no confidential details were disclosed when the board returned to open session.
