He said the fairboard operates year-round with about 19 to 21 working-board members and many community volunteers.
Kiesling told council members the fair has secured roughly $60,000 in charitable contributions over the past two years to support operations and capital improvements. He said recent funding and grants — plus commissioner support and in-kind donations from local businesses — have enabled projects such as a new sheep barn and electrical work to continue.
Council members and the fair board urged residents to attend and volunteer; several council members praised the board’s work and said they will publicize the fair in the weeks ahead.
