The Miami County commission unanimously appointed John Kennedy June 11 as treasurer for Paola Township after a motion by Commissioner Scruggs and a second by Commissioner Pratt.
Commission staff also reported sale proceeds from surplus items. A Lewisburg fire engine sold for $79,200; staff reported diving equipment sold for $2,970, fire hose for $2,200 and a boat motor for $1,100. The commission recorded the surplus sales and proceeded to other business.
No further action on the sales was taken during the meeting; staff will handle surplus disposition and accounting procedures.
