Resident raises concerns about chip‑and‑seal work and pavement expectations

He told commissioners he compared the paved section outside his property to other nearby roads and saw no significant difference but remains concerned the surface will fail sooner than other roads. "What I'm looking for is we know it has failed, and it's gonna fail quicker," he said.
Commissioners and staff responded that the section in question is part of the normal maintenance program. Road staff and the clerk reiterated that the road is included in the county's maintenance schedule. Christiansen said he sought assurance the county would "live up" to prior commitments and invited staff to visit the site.
No formal action was taken during the meeting; the exchange occurred during the public comment period.
