The Redmond Urban Renewal Agency adopted its 2025–26 budget and appropriations and voted to return roughly $1,800,000 in tax-increment revenue to overlapping taxing districts, agency staff said.
Jason, a staff member, told the board the agency had requested collection of 100% of the South 97 division of taxes but the downtown urban renewal district’s portion had fallen to 64 percent, resulting in the return of about $1,800,000 to overlapping districts. "We're returning about $1,800,000 now to the overlapping taxing districts," Jason said during the hearing.
The budget adoption was presented as one resolution: "to adopt the budget and appropriate expenses." Chair Fitch opened the public hearing, asked for public comment and, after none was offered, a board member moved to adopt Urban Renewal Agency Resolution 2025-01. The motion was seconded, a voice vote was taken and the board approved the resolution by voice vote.
The public hearing produced no public comments, and no amendments or conditions were recorded on the motion. The agency’s meeting then proceeded to other items on the agenda.
The action is a formal budget adoption by resolution; the transcript shows no separate directions to staff or follow-up tasks tied to this vote.
