1) Approve agenda dated 06/16/2025 — Motion to approve the agenda was made and seconded; the board voted by voice and the motion carried. (Recorded: "Aye. Aye. Aye.")
2) Executive session for pending and threatened litigation — Motion to enter executive session for 15 minutes to include County Councilor Brian Vena, Rick Witte, all three commissioners and Dave Bonhamblest was made and seconded; the motion carried. Later the board reconvened and stated "No action was taken." (Action kind: executive_session; outcome: no_action.)
3) Approve minutes dated 06/09/2025 — Motion made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
4) Approve purchase of cargo trailer for public works — Motion to approve purchase of an 8½-by-28-foot cargo trailer from K and K Sales in Hutchinson, Kansas, not to exceed $12,700 was made and seconded. The motion passed with one abstention recorded due to an ownership conflict with K and K; the board noted one commissioner abstained and the motion carried.
5) Approve IT queuing and calendaring contract (QLess) — Motion to approve the QLess contract for a three-year total of $16,470 (invoiced annually) was made, seconded and carried. The board voted to sign the contract and include the cost in county IT budgeting.
6) Approve KDHE pre-award assessment and related federal forms for CDDO funding — The clerk presented KDHE pre-award documents and a Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act subaward reporting compliance form for signature; a motion to authorize the chairman to sign was made, seconded and carried.
7) Official name for county building (old bank building) — A motion was made and seconded to name the facility "McPherson County Building." The motion carried.
Other procedural votes recorded at the meeting included adopting Resolution 2025-10 (planning/zoning fee schedule) and approving the IT backup modules and vendor payment (see separate articles for those items).
