At the June 17 meeting of the WEST SENECA CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT Board of Education, Assistant Superintendent for Administration and Operations John Cervoni introduced and welcomed Michael Rodasta, whose appointment as the district's next director of technology was approved as part of the personnel agenda.
Cervoni told the board Rodasta impressed interviewers with both technical knowledge and an emphasis on teamwork and support for teaching and learning. Cervoni said Rodasta previously served as director of data and technology at the Enterprise Charter School and praised his experience in educational leadership and systems management. "Michael really impressed all stakeholders with one, his technological understanding, and brilliance quite honestly," Cervoni said.
Rodasta was introduced to the board and recognized with family in attendance. Cervoni noted the appointment follows the retirement of Scott Firkins, the district's prior technology director.
Ending: The appointment was announced during the personnel portion of the meeting and associated personnel agenda items were approved by the board earlier in the meeting.
