Vineland delays vote on $4 million electric-utility-funded landfill redevelopment appropriation

The Vineland City Council continued public consideration of Ordinance 2025-45, which would appropriate $4,000,000 from the electric utilities capital improvement fund to pay for improvements connected with implementation of the municipal landfill redevelopment plan.
At the June 17 meeting the council opened the public hearing on the ordinance but then voted to continue the item. The clerk announced that the matter would be continued to Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. Doctor Arthur, Council member Vargas, President Paul Spinelli and Vice President Cruz Gomez recorded yes votes on the procedural motion to continue; Council member English was absent.
Mister Franchetta read the ordinance text and stated the continuation date on the record. No substantive public comments on the ordinance were made at the June 17 hearing.
