Engineer reports progress on roads, water, sewer and stormwater projects across Verona

City engineering staff gave a status report on multiple public‑works projects, noting progress on utility work, paving schedules and upcoming inspections.

Key updates: Country View Road — continued pond work and subbase/utility installation for northbound and southbound lanes; Laser Street extension — near completion with punch‑list items remaining and surface paving planned in coming months; Mark Drive — 90% plans and specifications under city review and phase 1 starting soon; North and Southeast water booster station designs — finalization under way with potential generator addition at the Southeast booster station before the water master plan is complete; Well 6 — awaiting televising and test pumping before final approval.

Lower Badger Mill Creek interceptor — district meeting scheduled; Shady Oak Lane work planned just after the triathlon and surface paving expected by late October, with final completion expected in June 2026. Kettle Creek North — recent surface paving on phases 5 and 6; phase 8 plans currently under city review. Arden Glen — water main and sanitary sewer installation completed for the latest phase and storm sewer work under way for phase 3B. SSM Health — fill‑only permit issued and earthmoving begun; staff will review final stormwater management plans tied to a Valley Road reconstruction and public sanitary/water extension for the site.

Staff also reported that annual public stormwater facility inspections are wrapping up and a report and web page updates are expected in the next couple of weeks. The engineer said staff will respond to council questions and return follow‑up information where needed.
