EMC (the electric service provider) was identified as the anticipated service provider; staff said the lighting plan meets ordinance expectations for entryway and street illumination. The Cornerstone Point final plat was approved under a performance bond earlier in June and homes are expected to go vertical soon.
Planning staff recommended approval and the board moved to forward the recommendation to the Bulloch County Board of Commissioners. The advisory recommendation will allow the county to place the lighting assessment on property tax bills so that streetlights remain funded even if an HOA fails to maintain them.
