The Elizabeth School District board approved the second and final reading of a revised policy (GBEE) governing staff use of the internet and electronic communications.
Staff said revisions were drawn from model language provided by CASB and CLASS and include clarifications on cell-phone use to align with student-device policy JICJ. The policy also adds a new section and references an updated acceptable-use agreement that staff and teachers will sign; district staff said they will update the agreement form before distribution.
Board members reviewed the changes and approved the policy by roll call. Staff noted they will update the acceptable-use agreement referenced in the policy before staff sign it.
