Madison Visionary Partners director reports fundraising, grants and community projects

Christina Hearn, executive director of Madison Visionary Partners, gave a Dec. 9 presentation to the Madison City Council summarizing MVP’s 2024 activities and upcoming initiatives.
Hearn said she started in the role Oct. 1 and described MVP’s mission as “connecting people who care with initiatives that enrich the quality of lives, of people in the community of Madison.” She highlighted 2024 accomplishments including fundraising for the Kids Kingdom playground renovation, awarding $10,000 in grants to five nonprofits at the Madison Visionary Awards, completing phase one of the city’s mural trail, and helping to raise funds for a new community center and the Madison Senior Center’s relocation.
Hearn told the council that “for every dollar that was invested in MVP by the city of Madison, we were able to deliver over $11 back in quality of life projects,” and announced the third annual Madison Visionary Awards will be held March 27, 2025. She said nominations are open through Jan. 3 and community impact mini-grant applications are due Feb. 21; she directed listeners to mvpmadison.org for details.
Council members and staff thanked Hearn and noted the partnership between the city and MVP. A council member serving as MVP liaison said the organization now has its own office and has added board members and that donations have supported local projects.
