Committee members said the House offer covered rows highlighted in yellow on the provided spreadsheet and included a list of projects corresponding to funding amounts on rows 61, 69, 106, 110, 137, 164, 166, 312 and 315. The Senate described its submission as "the original bump items" for the Transportation, Tourism and Economic Development budget and said the shaded lines reflect "bump offer 1," which also applies to all bumped projects.
Adam Keith explained the House side's submission: "For the rows highlighted in yellow, the house either offers a modified position or agrees to move to the senate. For all remaining rows without color highlights, the house will maintain its position. Also included in the offer is the list of projects that correspond to the funding amounts on rows 61, 69, 106, 110, 137, 164, 166, 312, and 315. That concludes the offer." Sarah Nortelis described the Senate offer as the spreadsheet showing the original bump items and stated, "The senate bump offer is the right set of columns. The shaded lines reflect the bump offer 1. The offer also includes senate bump offer 1 on all bumped projects. That is the offer."
There was no public testimony on either offer, and Representative McClure acknowledged receipt and said the House would review the Senate submission and respond. The chair noted the committee planned to meet again in the evening, seeking a 5:00 p.m. notice for an approximately 6:00 p.m. session to address further budget "silos."
