Appropriations conference committee names Hooper chair and McClure vice chair

Representative McClure opened the meeting by moving the first nomination. As the transcript records, Representative McClure said, "I move to nominate Senator Hooper to serve as chair of the Appropriations Conference." The presiding chair responded, "Without objection, show that motion adopted." Senator Hooper then said, "I move to nominate Representative McClure to serve as the vice chair of the Appropriations Committee," and the chair again noted the motion was adopted without objection.
The committee took no public testimony on the organizational motions. With leadership appointed, committee members indicated they would proceed to exchange and review budget offers from the House and Senate later in the session. Representative McClure moved to adjourn at the close of the brief organizational business and the chair declared the meeting adjourned "without objection."
