CFSD board approves performance award plan revision requiring 14 collaborative inquiry meetings

On May 27 the Catalina Foothills Unified School District Governing Board voted unanimously to approve revisions to the district’s performance award plan, a second reading and action item presented by Associate Superintendent Mindy Westover.
Westover said the only substantive change since the first reading on May 13 was clarification of collaborative inquiry team (CIT) meeting expectations. The revised plan requires each site to hold a minimum of 14 CIT meetings per year, and employees must attend 12 of those meetings to be eligible for the full performance award.
"The revision now includes that each site is required to hold a minimum of 14 meetings a year, and 12 of those meetings must be attended to be eligible for the full performance award plan," Westover said. District staff told the board most sites already hold 16–18 meetings annually and that the change broadly restores the requirement that existed prior to a temporary suspension during implementation of the district’s continuous improvement system.
A board member moved to approve the revision and the motion carried 4–0.
