Commissioners appoint Lisa Craft to Delaware County District Library Board

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners approved the appointment of Lisa Craft to the Delaware County District Library Board of Trustees to fill an unexpired term caused by the death of trustee Bradley Allen.
Jane Hawes, the county’s director of communications, presented the resolution and said the vacancy was caused by Allen’s death and that the county recommended Lisa Craft for the appointment. Hawes noted Craft’s prior service as fiscal officer in Orange Township and her financial experience.
Commissioner Merrill praised Craft’s fiscal background and said, “I think she more than fits that qualification.” Commissioner Benton said he has known Craft through her service as fiscal officer and recommended her for the board. Commissioners voted on Resolution No. 25-457 to appoint Craft; Commissioner Merrill, Commissioner Benton and Commissioner Lewis each voted aye.
Hawes told the board there were 17 applicants for the vacancy, which commissioners said reflected strong public interest in the library board. The commissioners took no additional administrative action beyond the appointment.
