State announces Family Childcare Capital Grant Round 1 winners and opens Round 2 in August 2025

Dayana Figueroa, manager of the Family Childcare Capital Grant program at the Department of Early Education and Care, told applicants that the first round of awards is complete and that a second round will open in August 2025.
Figueroa said the agency received 1,600 applications for Round 1 and awarded 158 projects, a roughly 9% acceptance rate. "We are very pleased to launch Round 2, which will begin in August 2025," Figueroa said. She said the department expects to make about $3,000,000 available in Round 2 and that individual awards will not exceed $25,000.
