The Lubbock ISD board recognized students and teams across the district for academic, artistic and athletic achievements.
Chad Haskins, advanced academics coordinator, introduced students who qualified for UIL academic state meets, including the Lubbock High science team and individual competitors from Coronado High School and Talkington School for Young Women Leaders. Haskins described UIL as offering "30 academic events, including events such as math, science, speech and debate, journalism, and STEM related events."
