Board accepts donations supporting athletics, mental-health programming and school projects

Paul Durban presented the list and thanked community partners. Donations included a Freeborn Mower Operation roundup donation of $250 directed to special projects; a Kiwanis Noon Club gift of $107 for the robotics program; a Matheson Tri-Gas grant (coded in district records as a 096 impact grant) linked to the high school welding lab; and multiple Box Tops and local church contributions for school special projects.
Durban also listed donors to the district—s mental-health "glow run" fundraiser: Miracle Martial Arts, various community members (miscellaneous cash), Patient—s Choice Wellness Clinic, Pathway to Healing Counseling Services, Chime Mental Health Services, It—s Worth It Wellness Studio, Horizon Homes, Nexus Girard, Independent Management Services, Freeborn County, and Pepsi. Staff said Freeborn County provided additional support to upgrade staff break-room furnishings at Brookside, and the ALHS REACH program received a county donation of $2,780. Band donations totaled $406 and orchestra donations $115 in the packet.
The board moved to accept the donations as read; the motion passed 5-0.
