Lebanon County commissioners on Tuesday approved 22 provider contract amendments totaling $240,624 to cover increased utilization in mental-health, intellectual-disability and early-intervention programs.

Holly Lakey, administrator for mental health, intellectual disability and early intervention programs, told the board the amendments include 13 for early intervention, two for mental health, five for intellectual disabilities and two for building maintenance at 220 East Linden Street. "The amendments were mostly to cover increased amounts to allow for higher utilization for services for individuals," Lakey said. "This will be covered through our current allocations and budget. Therefore, we are not requesting any additional county tax dollars to cover these expenditures."

The board discussed one item related to crisis-intervention furniture at a WellSpan walk-in center; Lakey said the cost is borne by the county mental-health allocations and is not split with other agencies. Commissioners moved and the board approved the contract amendments by voice vote.

The amendments carry forward existing program commitments, county staff said, and are intended to preserve service capacity as demand increases. No additional county tax funding was requested at the meeting.

The action followed routine review by county staff; commissioners asked a small number of clarifying questions before voting to approve the amendments.
