Bluff City’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a timeline and recruitment flyer prepared by the Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS) to advertise the town manager position.
The board agreed to proceed with the timeline and flyer provided by MTAS representative Pete Auger, with the only change being the removal of a previously proposed June 2025 milestone because the action occurred at a special called meeting. The authorization was approved on a single-reading motion; staff said MTAS would begin work the next business day.
Alderwoman Payne moved approval of the flyer and timeline; Alderman Johnson seconded. The roll call recorded yes votes from Alderman Payne, Alderman Malone and Alderman Johnson and the motion passed.
Board members noted interview options in the proposal can be discussed at a later date. The board did not schedule interview dates during the special meeting; staff will coordinate next steps with MTAS once the firm is notified.
