Christian County commissioners awarded three contracts for tree trimming and removal in county rights-of-way after the lowest bidder was unable to supply required documentation.

An invitation to bid (ITB 2025-6) covered three sites on North Marshfield Road and Fern Road. Pilgrim’s Tree Service was initially the lowest bidder for all locations but failed to provide required insurance and affidavits and withdrew from award consideration. County purchasing notified highway administration and the evaluation committee, which recommended awards to the next lowest and responsive bidders.

Monster Tree Service was selected for the two North Marshfield Road sites and Hodges Tree Service was selected for the Fern Road site. The commission approved the awards by voice vote.
