Board appoints Matthew Wolstatter as student ex officio member for 2025-26

The agenda resolution read: "Be it resolved, the Board of Education hereby appoints Matthew Wolstatter to serve as an ex officio member of the school board for the 2025-26 school year, subject to the requirements of district policy 2245." A board member moved the resolution and it was seconded; the board voiced "Aye" and the motion carried.
After the appointment, Wolstatter addressed the board and public. "Thank you so much for appointing me to this position ... I've been interested in this for many, many, many years now and I'm really looking forward to working with you all next year," he said, thanking the interview committee and peers who supported his application by petition.
The appointment was processed under district policy 2245, the policy the board cited on the floor; the board did not discuss alternative candidates during the public audio for this meeting.
