Samuels Group, contractors report foundation work under way; Page County turbine deliveries expected mid‑July

Brian with Samuels Group told the board crews were laying out and digging footings, with concrete pours and testing scheduled, and that masonry subcontractors expected to begin laying block below grade the following week. Northwest Steel brought a jobsite trailer and was preparing a bracing plan for precast walls; electricians and plumbers are scheduled to return when foundation block work begins.

Separately, a contractor identified as John reported that turbine deliveries in Page County are expected to begin in mid‑July and that the county has started digging foundations and pouring first lifts of concrete for turbine foundations. John clarified the water used for dust control is coming from a private well; he said an electrical contractor (JFE) has a separate contract with the city of Coyne to obtain water for electrical bores, not for general dust control.

John also said the FAA had advanced a permit for the site’s emergency generator to “final evaluation status” and that the county is ordering the generator early because of long lead times so the equipment will be available when foundations and concrete bases are ready.
