Parents ask Humble ISD to adopt transparent protocols after Summer Creek championship celebration concerns

She asked the board to direct the administration to publish those rules and to train athletic staff at the campus level on when district-level resources are available.
Tracy Robinson, another parent, said the Summer Creek celebration felt like an "afterthought" to students and families and asked the board to listen to parents' concerns. None of the speakers said the board had formally refused a specific request in public session; rather, the speakers described repeated denials and delays in arranging a celebration and asked for transparent, written procedures.
Trustee Elizabeth Shaw acknowledged the parents' comments and thanked them for speaking respectfully. The board did not take formal action on the requests at this meeting; no motion to adopt written protocols or to direct administration was recorded in the minutes. Several trustees later praised student achievements across the district during board member remarks but did not announce a board-level directive on celebration protocols during the session.
