The Murfreesboro Historic Zoning Commission on June 17 re-elected Jeff Davis to a second term as chair and voted to retain Deborah Belcher as vice chair.
The commission opened nominations for vice chair first. A commissioner moved to keep Deborah Belcher in the vice chair role; the motion was seconded. The roll call vote recorded Commissioner Becker, Commissioner Jaques, Commissioner Panisse, Commissioner Prince, Commissioner Thompson and Chair Jeff Davis as voting yes, and the nomination passed unanimously.
The commission then proceeded to the chair nomination. A commissioner nominated Jeff Davis for a second term; a second was recorded. The commissioners again voted unanimously to elect Davis as chair. After the vote Davis thanked the commission and said he and Amelia would arrange continuing-education opportunities for the year.
No contested nominations or objections were raised on the record during either vote. The votes were recorded by Ashley, the meeting secretary, through roll call.
