The Luxemburg-Casco School District Board of Education approved a 2.95% base wage increase for certified staff at its June 12 meeting.
District staff said the increase is applied to the base wage rather than to individual salaries; the change modifies step increases, lane changes and remaining cells. Staff noted the base change also alters co-curricular pay schedules because those schedules are expressed as percentages of the certified base.
Board members voted to approve the presented calculation and accompanying sheets that show the budgetary impact. The motion was moved by Dave and seconded by Brandy; the board approved the motion during the consent/administrative items portion of the meeting.
Staff said athletics payrolls and co-curricular schedules were reviewed in related agenda items and that the business office will reflect the base-wage change in upcoming payroll and insurance calculations.
