CYPRESS-FAIRBANKS ISD — The Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District on Wednesday presented year-one formative assessment results tied to the district's five-year strategic plan, showing measurable growth for many early-grade readers while underscoring hundreds of students who remain below the expected learning rate.
Dr. Tanya Gorrie, the district presenter, told the board the report covers strategic-plan goals 5 and 6, which focus on students in grades 1'3 who did not meet the prior end-of-year RIT score and students in grades 4'5 who scored below "approaches" on STAR ELA. "This graphic summarizes data for first and second grade students who did not meet the end of year RIT score in 2024 and were below grade level standard at the beginning of the school year," Gorrie said during the presentation.
