Pasadena Chamber promotes business events; Strawberry Festival reports $50,000 in scholarships

She also promoted a Small Business Resource Fair on June 25 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., noting that the chamber has added representatives from the Houston Sports Authority and the Buy Houston partners to help local businesses compete for World Cup–related contracts. Womack asked council members to share event information with constituents.
Marlene Staley discussed the Strawberry Festival held a month earlier, praising the turnout and reporting that the festival supports $50,000 in scholarships for local students.
