The district authorized a one‑gig fiber backup internet connection to be located at the elementary campus and said the service would be provided by a different vendor than the primary connection so an outage of one carrier would not disable district connectivity. Officials also said they will purchase a separate firewall to ensure the backup circuit does not route through the same firewall as the main connection, addressing a single‑point‑of‑failure concern.
Technology staff sought approval to equip the high‑school counseling office with a television and a Promethean interactive board for student use, and to replace administrative desktop and laptop devices for building administrators and secretaries. The district said the counseling display would not be connected to cable but could be tied into the district’s security playback system or digital signage in the future.
Facilities items included approval in principle to schedule the high‑school West Wing roof replacement for summer 2026 to preserve current pricing and to avoid conflicting summer work on HVAC projects; district documents presented estimated costs for the planned roof project. The board also approved a water‑main repair inside the middle school, a $33,038 contract that staff said will be completed by a contractor selected via bid. A nearly $10,000 project was approved to update middle‑school gym court lines to accommodate volleyball and pickleball.
The board approved a single‑vendor service agreement with Convergent to provide Genetec Advantage support and prepaid service hours and confirmed many of these capital and service costs were pre‑budgeted in the district’s capital plan. Administrators said several items were already included in the adopted capital budget and that the work will proceed this summer.
