Saint Charles council appoints Heather Maguire as city administrator and approves department director slate

The Saint Charles City Council on Monday approved Heather Maguire as the city administrator for fiscal year 2025–26 and voted to confirm the city administrator's recommended department directors.

Mayor Clint Hall presented the recommendation and the council approved the appointment and an accompanying employment contract by roll call. Mayor Clint Hall later congratulated Maguire, saying, "Heather, on behalf of the city council and myself, I wanna congratulate you. I want to thank you. And I want to tell you that, it's a high bar. I know you're gonna meet it, and, we really look forward, to working with you." Maguire responded, "thank you."

Council members moved and seconded the motions as listed on the agenda. The appointment motion was recorded as made by Gam and seconded by Weber; a subsequent resolution authorizing the mayor to execute and the city clerk to attest to an employment contract with Heather Maguire was approved by roll call.
