Planning commission clears Victory at Coppell replat and TownePlace Suites plan, grants parking exception and requires hotel shuttle

The Coppell Planning and Zoning Commission on June 18 approved a replat for the Victory at Coppell development and a detailed plan to build a five-story, 131-room TownePlace Suites hotel on South Beltline Road, granting a parking exception that allows 132 spaces in place of the 146 spaces required by the city's parking schedule and adding a required shuttle service as a condition.

Matt Steer, development services administrator, told the commission the applicant removed an oven and full-size refrigerator from guest-room plans, which changed the project's zoning classification.
