Council approves hourly rate increase for town attorneys Snow, Jensen & Rees

The Springdale Town Council on June 11 approved an hourly rate increase for the town’s legal firm, Snow, Jensen & Rees, raising the firm’s standard rate from $250 to $300 per hour for both litigation and general representation effective July 1, 2025.
Town staff said the firm had not increased rates since 2023 and requested the adjustment to reflect market conditions. Councilmember Pat Campbell moved to approve the change and to authorize the mayor to acknowledge the revision; Councilmember Randy Aton seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Council members praised the firm’s long relationship with the town while acknowledging the need to manage legal expenses in the upcoming budget year.
