LEBANON — The City of Lebanon’s monthly budget report for Jan. 1 through May 31, 2025, was not available for review at the June 19 pre-council meeting because the finance officer was completing a transition to new accounting software, Mayor Sherry El Capello said.
El Capello said the city is entering items in both the old and new systems during the transition and that a recent payroll week made timely completion difficult. “She wasn’t able to finish it in time that we had the proper time to review it and make sure that everything was entered correctly,” El Capello said. “So, we should have that completed by tomorrow so that you’ll have the weekend to look at it and be prepared for Monday’s council meeting.”
No formal action or vote was taken in the pre-council meeting; the mayor indicated the completed report would be available to council members before the regular Monday meeting so they could review it.
