The Bibb County Board authorized the superintendent to enter into a contract with Elevate K12 to provide live virtual teachers at an amount not to exceed $300,000, to be funded from general funds.
Emmanuel Frasier presented the item on behalf of Human Resources, saying Elevate K12 provides certified teachers who will deliver live Tier 1 instruction using the district's curriculum materials. The vendor has worked with more than 600 districts, according to the presentation, and the contract is intended to fill existing teacher vacancies and ensure instructional continuity.
Board members offered no substantive objections; the recommendation passed unanimously and will move to the consent agenda.
