La Joya Independent School District leaders on Wednesday previewed a Principal Excellence Initiative that would link principal compensation to student outcomes, evaluations and campus operational measures.
Jamie Miller and Dr. Derek Little described the draft model during a presentation the district characterized as an early-stage roadmap. "There are not many districts in Texas that are doing this," Miller said, adding the program is intended to reward campus leaders who produce stronger student results.
