Rockport‑Fulton ISD notified the public Thursday that it will submit federal grant applications under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), IDEA‑B and the Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education program.
The notification, presented for federal compliance and public comment, covered the purposes and estimated allocations for multiple grant streams. The presenter explained Title I supports schoolwide student achievement (the district is schoolwide at all four campuses) and estimated the 2025–26 Title I allocation at approximately $1,160,000. Title II (professional development) was estimated at about $154,000. Title III for English learners saw a small increase; Title IV supports well‑rounded education including fine arts and mental health; and Rural and small‑district supports (Title V) will be determined later. IDEA‑B estimates were about $718,000 and Carl Perkins funding was approximately $44,000.
The presenter said reallocations and carryover are possible and that final allocations may change. The board took the notification for compliance and no formal vote beyond acknowledgement was required.
