DOT clears Hudson Mill Road bridge repair plans; board adds 0.8-mile Hudson Mill Loop school zone to radar list

The board nonetheless voted to add the 0.8-mile segment to the radar list, which is a prerequisite for the sheriff's office and the Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) to authorize radar enforcement.
Separately, county staff reported that DOT's bridge office "took no exception" to the county's submitted repair approach for the Hudson Mill Road bridge. The county engineer has a contractor ready; staff estimated a 30- to 60-day timeline for the repair once work begins and work is scheduled to proceed after DOT review.
Action taken: motion to include the 0.8-mile Hudson Mill Loop segment on the county radar list at 25 mph was moved, seconded and approved. No vote tally was recorded in the transcript.
