At the June 18, 2025 regular meeting for the Silver Creek School Corporation, the board voted unanimously to approve a consent agenda that added certified appointments and a memorandum of understanding to the meeting packet.

Dr. Briggs asked the board to add three personnel items to the consent agenda and an MOU under the "other" section. He read the recommended appointments: “Karen Allen, Silver Creek Elementary School, fourth grade teacher, position control number 30028 effective 07/25/2025. And recommendation is to add under number 1 appointments letter c, Tristan Miller, Silver Creek Elementary School, fifth grade teacher, position control number 30031 effective 07/25/2025. And the last recommendation of revision would be under consent agenda under letter c. Other, recommendation is to add Grama numeral number 9 center stone m o u, and that is it.”

Board members moved and seconded the item and approved the revised agenda and subsequent consent items by voice vote. When the consent agenda was discussed before the vote, a board member clarified that many of the listed hires were extracurricular (ECA) positions or reappointments and not 20 new full‑time positions: “We're not adding, what, 20 some odd, head count. A lot of these are, are ECA positions for coaches, just reappointments or folks that have left and and rehiring them. These are not, 20 actual positions that, that we're doing.”

The board recorded no dissent; the motion to approve the consent agenda carried 5‑0. The consent packet as discussed also listed multiple classified appointments, resignations, leaves and retirements; the board did not discuss specific details of most items during the meeting. No additional action or amendments to the personnel items were taken at the session.

The board approved minutes from the May 27 regular meeting and executive session earlier in the meeting and adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
