Superintendent Dr. Sutton told the board Wednesday that the company that provides the district’s online board agenda platform is phasing out the BoardDocs product and offering an upgraded service called Diligent.
Dr. Sutton said the district chose to upgrade with the same company to ease import of historical agendas and supporting documents. He told trustees the migration should be “a smooth changeover” and that archival materials will be imported into the new system. When a board member asked whether historical documents would be imported, administration answered yes.
Board members asked about the cost difference. Administration said the pricing is “extraordinarily similar,” with typical programs in the $4,000–$5,000 range and a likely incremental increase of roughly $1,000 to $1,500 for the upgrade in the district’s case. Dr. Sutton said the vendor selection prioritized usability and input from frequent users and that the district will provide more information to stakeholders during the transition period.
There was no formal board vote on the migration at the meeting; administration characterized the item as an operational change the district will implement over the coming months.
