Superintendent Dr. Thomas told the board Ms. Herman is en route to the meeting and that she had tendered her resignation. Director Bullion moved to accept the resignation; Director Johnson seconded the motion and the board approved it by a 7-0 vote.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved routine employment items, including summer hires and one certified ECFE summer teacher/parent educator at Edgewood, described by Dr. Thomas as within the approved budget. Director Frantz moved to approve the candidates, Director Johnson seconded, and the motion carried 7-0.
The board also approved an agenda change to move two items to allow a closed session to occur earlier. A motion to enter closed session for teacher negotiations later in the meeting passed 7-0.
