Administrators said the FY25 revision realigned budgets for existing grants and added two smaller awards received late in the year. The newly recognized grants include a $6,400 award for a high‑school financial‑literacy program (referred to as “Bridal for Life” in the meeting record), and a roughly $15,000 special‑education IEP implementation grant to support changes in statewide IEP requirements. District staff also adjusted allocations on a Cooler Communities grant that supported Center School community outreach on composting and recycling.
The committee also accepted $94,101 in LEAF grants that fund many classroom projects across schools, including robotics/circuit kits, middle‑school chorus resources, cello storage racks for music, graphic novels at the high school, and hands‑on science projects at elementary schools. The superintendent thanked LEAF for providing seed funding and materials that district staff said frequently become durable resources for expanded programming.
The committee approved the FY25 revisions and the acceptance of the LEAF grants by roll call. School officials said the grants required no matching local appropriation apart from typical program management and that staff will report on grant‑funded projects as they are implemented.
