The pilot will schedule every K–5 classroom for a weekly 45‑minute block focused on social‑emotional learning (SEL), STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math), and “Vision of the Graduate” competencies. The district said the course will use inquiry‑ and project‑based learning and culminate in grade‑level capstone demonstrations connected to existing curriculum standards.
