Tinley Park adds 2‑year temporary liquor classification and approves license for The Station

The Village of Tinley Park Board of Trustees on June 17 adopted an ordinance amending Title 11, Chapter 112 of the village code to add an AVT classification — a temporary two‑year liquor license — and separately approved an ordinance awarding a Class ABT liquor license to The Station at 6657 South Street.
President Glantz introduced the ordinance amending the liquor code, noting the new AVT classification was discussed at the Committee of the Whole prior to the meeting and that the ordinance was eligible for adoption. The board then voted by roll call; Trustees Brady, Brennan, Mahoney, Mueller, Shaw and Sullivan voted yes and the ordinance passed.
The board next considered an ordinance to award a Class ABT license to The Station at 6657 South Street. The ordinance had been discussed at the Committee of the Whole on June 3, 2025, and was presented as eligible for adoption. The petitioner made no public comments when asked. The board conducted a roll‑call vote and approved the ordinance; all trustees present voted in favor.
Both items were presented as procedurally eligible for adoption after prior Committee of the Whole discussion. No amendments were proposed on the floor, and there were no recorded dissenting votes.
