Trustees and administration said they had worked over several months to analyze data and craft measurable goals. Board members and staff thanked consultants and district staff for the work. Several trustees described the process as reinforcing the boardrole and focusing the board on governance rather than operational matters.
On a motion from Trustee Rodriguez and a second from Trustee Rino, the board voted to approve the package. Trustees said they will move next to community meetings to share the goals and gather feedback.
