Administration had initially proposed a 180-day calendar to take advantage of additional funding; under the change referenced at the meeting, the district returned to a 175-day schedule and reinstated full professional-development days the district previously shifted to half days. The revised calendar also includes August professional learning days, with school start set for Aug. 13, according to materials referenced by administration.
Administration said it had calculated instructional minutes for each campus and that the district meets required minutes under the revised calendar. Trustees approved the calendar change on the superintendent’s recommendation.
