The Town of Atherton City Council unanimously adopted the 2025–26 operations and capital budget, related salary and classification schedules, the master fee schedule and five accompanying resolutions during its June 18 regular meeting.
Staff and council described the adoption as the culmination of multiple months of review and public discussion. Finance director Robert Barone and city staff presented budget details across operations and capital projects; council members praised staff work during the multi‑meeting review process.
The motion to adopt bundled resolutions covered the operations and capital budget, a salary-and-benefits resolution for unrepresented staff, a 2025–26 salary and classification schedule, appropriations limits, and the town master fee schedule. Council voted unanimously to approve the package.
Council members commended Finance Director Robert Barone and staff for preparing the budget and noted that the town is in a favorable fiscal position. No public speakers commented on the matter during the hearing. With the vote, staff can implement the adopted appropriations and the town’s fee schedule for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025.
