Lakeland School reports 23 restraint/seclusion incidents for 2024–25, down from 142 the prior year

Staff said the school implemented several measures this year to reduce restraints and seclusions and described the decline from 142 incidents the prior school year as a significant reduction. The presenter said the school will continue to refine practices and adopt additional proactive strategies for 2025–26.
Board members moved to approve the report, with a motion and a second recorded; the chair asked the motion to be amended to include the additional incident that was reported after the packet was submitted. The amended report was adopted by voice vote.
