Separately, staff presented a longer list of students for whom the district is required by the state to take transportation impractical requests annually; the board approved declaring transportation impractical for those students on the list so the district can pay parents in lieu when appropriate.
Administration explained the practical effect: historically these payments were approved once and could be continued annually if the student remained in the same school and residence; under current state practice the board will review and declare impractical on an annual basis so payments can be processed for the upcoming school year.
The board approved the resolutions on roll‑call votes.
